We will finish early evening and you will have the evening to yourself to enjoy the beauty of Banff

 

Saturday

Morning Movement – 6am -7:15 am

Class begins at 8:30am

Graduation and class complete by 7pm

We highly recommend you stay at the Juniper during the Retreat.

You may choose to arrive Friday morning and stay overnight and again Saturday night, checking out Sunday morning in order to return home at the conclusion of the Retreat Sunday at 7pm.

You instead may want a 4 day stay for best comfort. Arrive Thursday evening and enjoy the beauty of Banff before Session Check In begins Friday at noon. Stay during the Retreat, and enjoy your stay into Monday morning to allow for complete rest after the Retreat. 

There is NO obligation to stay at the Juniper during the Retreat.

Simply call the Juniper and ask for the room block for REIKI. 

 

Meals during the Retreat

Meal breaks will be provided each day and times will be announced during class. There is a restaurant onsite serving Breakfast and Dinner. You are welcome to go to town for lunch (or all meals) or bring your own. There is a mini fridge in all rooms. 

There is NO obligation to order any meals onsite or go out for meals. You are welcome to bring your own food and keep in your room in the mini fridge. Bring snacks with you to enjoy during class time. Kindly refrain from bringing any kind of Bell Peppers into the class.

 

Preparing For Your Event

 Important Items to Bring:

  • Yoga Mat and attire for easy movement
  • Your favourite pillow to sleep/rest on
  • Your favourite blanket for comfort
  • Bathing Suit and sandals for hot tub/hot springs
  • Money for Meals, Snacks and incidentals
  • A pen and notebook (You’ll be taking lots of notes!)
  • A capped, non glass water bottle
  • Snacks to eat between meal break that are easy to pack and eat, such as fruit, vegetables and granola bars. (please be aware of common allergies and choose appropriate snacks - PLEASE NO BELL PEPPERS IN THE RETREAT CONFERENCE ROOM)

  

Be Responsible:

You are about to invest your time and energy in an intense learning experience. Here are some tips to help you get the most out of the event:

  • Schedule your travel time accordingly, allowing time for unexpected traffic and parking when you arrive.
  • Learning burns energy! Eat and hydrate well, before, during and after class each day.
  • Walk and stretch during the breaks.
  • Leave cell phones behind or set them for silent alert.
  • Write down your goals and objectives for the course ahead of time so you can focus on them throughout the event.

  

What to Wear:

  • Please dress comfortably
  • Dress in layers for comfort and fluctuating room temperatures. It is advised you bring a sweater with you.
  • Deodorant and breath mints are encouraged.
  • In consideration of participants with allergies, we ask that you not use any fragrances such as perfume, cologne, or after-shave.

 

Forms: All participants must sign an event waiver, filming release, and disclaimer of liability at registration. All forms must be completed in order to attend the workshop.

Lost and Found: Lost and Found will be located at the Staff Table. Please keep your personal items on you at all times. We are not responsible for any lost or stolen personal items.

Recording: There will be no recording devices of any kind or photography permitted inside the conference room. We will be videotaping and photographing the event professionally. Thank you for your understanding.

Kombucha Social – Friday 12 – 1pm during check in

We invite you to join us at check in on Friday at noon for the sharing of kombucha.  We will have flavours for you to experience as we all get to meet each other and share some fun together.

 Reiki Sessions – Saturday and Sunday 8:30am start

·       Doors will open at 8:20 and Reiki class will begin at 8:30 each day.

·       Please bring your favourite pillow and yoga mat with you to class each day.

·       You will be given many handouts during class time and we suggest you bring all handouts with you to class each day.

·       Please dress comfortably each day and prepare for fluctuating room temperatures.

·       Although our intention is to finish class each day by 6:30pm we allow for many shares, and open discussion so please do not be attached to finishing promptly at 6:30. We allow for class to flow with the energy of all participants and ending at a specific time may disrupt the natural flow of energies.

·       We will allow for plenty of time for dinner to allow you to return for Kelly’s meditation. We encourage peace and going with the flow.

·       Doors will open 10 minutes before session begins.

 

Morning Movement – Saturday and Sunday 6-7:15 am

We invite you to join us as we begin each day in joyful movement with Jody. Jody will combine breath work, gentle yoga, sacred movement and meditation to help bring your mind and body into balance, allowing you to be at your best self throughout the day.  *Please bring your own mat. You are welcome to bring bolsters, straps and blankets if you wish for your Savasana.

 

Meditation

Join Reiki Master and Artist Kelly Yost on Saturday evening after dinner for a peaceful and creative meditation practice sure to invite the most glorious sleep, and receive a beautiful gift for you to take home and utilize in your practice on a daily basis. The time for this meditation with Kelly will be announced in class.

 

Mishka

Andrea’s beautiful dog Mishka will be a part of this retreat. This is Mishka’s second year joining Andrea at her events. She welcomes belly rubs and scratches from you, although it’s best that she not be given any people food at any time.  You are welcome to take Mishka out for a little walk, or to lay in the sun with her during meals and breaks. She will chase bunnies and squirrels so it’s best to keep her (and the bunnies) safe at all times by keeping her on her leash.

Please do not bring your dog/pet to the event as only Mishka is to be in the conference rooms.
